Restructuring

We help owners and companies when liquidity is under pressure or debt needs to be renegotiated, and put forward a plan that banks, investors and owners can support.

Early action means more options

The earlier problems are addressed, the more options there are. We start with a quick and candid assessment of liquidity, debt and operations. We then look at the options: new equity, refinancing, amended loan terms, the sale of a business or assets, or a combination.

We have no loans or positions of our own in the company, so our advice is not shaped by an interest in the outcome.

How we work

  • Map liquidity, debt and cash flow, including a liquidity forecast
  • Assess the alternatives and what they mean for owners and lenders
  • Prepare a plan and the financial basis the parties can decide on
  • Negotiate with banks, bondholders, investors and other parties
  • Carry out the solution, whether refinancing, new capital or a sale

Who we work for

We work for the company and its owners. When a formal process becomes relevant, we work alongside the company's lawyer.
